Ingredients
  

  • 14 ounce package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
  • cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 18.25 ounce package German chocolate cake mix
  • ¾ cup butter melted
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  • Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and dust with flour.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt caramel with 1/3 cup condensed milk. Stir every 30 seconds.
  • Set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix, melted butter, and 1/2 cup condensed milk.
  • Half of the cake mix mixture should be spread in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in a preheated oven.
  • Remove from the oven and spread the caramel mixture, chocolate chips, and nuts over the top.
  • Top with the remaining cake mixture. Bake for another 10 minutes.
