Ingredients
- 14 ounce package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
- ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 18.25 ounce package German chocolate cake mix
- ¾ cup butter melted
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and dust with flour.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt caramel with 1/3 cup condensed milk. Stir every 30 seconds.
- Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix, melted butter, and 1/2 cup condensed milk.
- Half of the cake mix mixture should be spread in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 6 to 8 minutes in a preheated oven.
- Remove from the oven and spread the caramel mixture, chocolate chips, and nuts over the top.
- Top with the remaining cake mixture. Bake for another 10 minutes.
